  Why music? Cause producing and performing music is as fun
  as surfing, climbing and snowboarding with your mates.
  It's the experiences with the people i met and lived with, 
  those blocs in the middle of stunning mountains and all 
  those coastlines and its perfect breaking waves that give 
  the caracter to the Al-Berto sound.

  Here a bit of background how surfing, bouldering, 
  snowboarding, travelling, filming and music go hand in hand.

2010

  This year we want to play only a few concerts and record the
  next album in autumn ... no one knows yet :)

2009

   We started the year and wanted to have a couple of concerts
   during feb/mar and then end the project. And suddendly
   we had more and more concert requests ... in between concerts
   we recorded the rest of Byron Bay that came out in sept 2009

2008

  This year we finally produced the 4 Song EP 
  'Byron Bay' The song Dive made it to the swiss
  national Radio drs3.ch, lucernes local 3fach.ch 
  wich is my favorite radio station and toxic.fm
  
  In between surftrips we quick recorded the video
  clip to the song at the boulder crag of engelberg.
  This one is televised on swiss national TV once
  a week on the video clip plattform 'roboclip'

  
2007

  Like the year before, that year began with a surf
  trip. This time 4 months Guatemala and El Salvador. 
  During that trip i produced a new bunch of songs 
  including 'Single for a week' and 'Just let go'
  
  Back in Swizzy we had then 2 concerts and i had another
  surftrip and some more deep water solo action, where i
  recorded a couple of more songs together with 
  'Sweet Summertime'

  Somewhen that year Lukas Speissegger told that it was 
  about time to produce some songs with him

2006
  
  The year began with 6 months surfing on a trip back
  to OZ and Guatemala/El Salvador. On that trip i also
  bought a G4 PowerBook that became the best tool for
  recording new ideas and editing video clips.

  After that trip i was invited to open for Daniel  
  Lemma at the Schuer in Lucerne. Duela and Barmy 
  and i had 3 rehearsals and had a great concert
  thanks to the super chilled audience

2005

  After the intensive year of travelling i came back to
  Engelberg and had to diggest a lot. During that time
  i recorded a lot of songs in the basement, passed days
  in a row working on a song until the tune felt right.

  During that time i contacted Barmy and Dula to have 
  a listen and add some tunes to the recordings. The result
  were 8 songs that were appreciated in the close circle of
  friends.

 
2004
  
  The year 2004 was the realisation of the dream i had when i
  started climbing in 1989. I wanted to travel around the world 
  and and dive into the beauty of those fantastic sceneries 
  while doing what i most like: bouldering

  On that journey i took my guitar with me and passed through
  Guatemala where i had my first surfing experience. I went 
  on a year climbing trip to discover the beauty of surfing.
  the name climb2surf.com was born.

  That year was so full of experiences that are impossible to
  diggest in the very moment

 

2002 - 2003

  Winter 2002 was the first one where there was not enough
  snow (in my terms of enough) so i started bouldering in
  ticino what became an incredible passion, i felt like on
  the first days of climbing again. 
  Lots of recording of ideas and heaps of bouldering happend
  in those 2 years. During that time i developped the boulder 
  crag in engebelberg  (-> boulderberg.com) That was as well 
  the beginning of this picture gallery that became 
  climb2surf.com

    
1991 - 2001
   
  skunkoffdeal.com was the name of the band that was our
  playground to experiment with music. In those 10 years
  a lot of new genres of music evolved. So many bands 
  brought new sounds to the world we never had heard before 
  and influenced our music. 

  The Red Hot Chili Peppers showed us how to give it away, 
  Nirvana put us on a plane, Rage against the machine saw 
  the bullet in our head, Massive Attack brought us the 
  karma coma, Morcheeba showed us the way down by the sea.
   
  The Beastie Boys, Radio Head, Pixies and Lenny Kravitz
  have always been my constant companions since that time
  until now.
 
  When you have the luck to spend teenage in Engelberg, you
  understand that it is the most natural thing to go 
  snowboarding and climbing all the time. It is just in front 
  of your nose. If you love those things as i do, you are 
  the luckiest person alive.
